Welcome to Laurel House
We began offering our apartment to visitors to Kirkby Lonsdale in July 2010 and have enjoyed accommodating numerous guests since then, many of whom we are delighted to say, are now returning on a regular basis. See our Reviews. For a relaxing break for two people in a period house ideally situated in the centre of the historic town of Kirkby Lonsdale, our quality apartment on the top floor of our house is furnished to a high standard and offers comfort and relaxation for those looking for some quality time and something a little special. The apartment is completely self-contained and private and consists of hallway/sitting room/kitchen-diner/spacious double bedroom and bathroom. To ensure a warm welcome we provide all breakfast provisions and lots of lovely “extras” – wine, Belgian chocolates and pampering products from our lovely local Bath House to get you in the mood for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The speciality shops, wine bars, pubs, restaurants, local supermarket, hairdressers/beauty salons, churches and interesting architecture are all within minutes walk and you can be assured of a warm welcome at Laurel House which is available for weekends, mid-week breaks and week long stays. Free on-street parking is available nearby using our visitors permit,
although a car isn’t essential if you simply want to enjoy the delights
of Kirkby Lonsdale on foot; the famous Ruskin’s View & church/river
walks, beautiful surrounding countryside including Devil’s Bridge,
which offers perfect picnic areas. The local supermarket within walking
distance offers an excellent deli and meats counter although if cooking
doesn’t appeal during your holiday break there are Indian &
Chinese Take-Aways in the town as well as excellent pizzas from Avanti,
our local wine bar.
